"The atrist's life may be divided between his actions as a businessman, as a designer, and a simultaneous process as a painter and sculptor. Aviv is driven by the urge to examine, experiment, confront creative assignments inspired by dreams, fantasies, impressions, as well as the immensely personal visual, illustrative world of associations inspired by his imagination and reality and influenced by Eastern cultures observed during his many business trips to the Far East.
An autodidactic, independent artist, who is not affiliated with any cultural or artistic establishment, Aviv is free to maneuver between experimentation and creative styles that assume various attributes.
Aviv's two-dimensional work is characterized by rich, acrylic color, clean lines and handling of the surface, on which he has left his imprint and which is marked by clearly defined borders. The paintings incorporate symbolic objects of views that are apparently inspired by traditional folklore motifs. His paintings occasionally resemble sketches for armoire creations, wall carpet schemes or giant wall paintings. The actual color and brushwork are well planned and measured, ensuring complete coverage of the background. In contrast, and as a counterpoint within the frame there are wide spans of colors and graphic design within the forms. The paintings' themes range from fish impressions to forms and color structures influenced by the female body.
